A Sequin Skirt Kind of Day

Zara sequin skirt, Givenchy bag, Valentino rockstud pumps

It was a Sequin Skirt Kind of Day. Remember when I told you last time I would wear sequins during the day? I was quite serious about it, and even though it is no longer midday, the sun is still up and it’s warm rays are being reflected by my shiny, sparkly sequin skirt. Yet again I am trying to demolish another myth: the one that commends you not to wear sequins during the day, or in fact any other day except for the holidays.

Firstly, everyone who up until now has been reluctant to wear a sequin skirt, or any sequins at all, please raise your hands! Indeed, there are quite a few, me including until recently. Mainly because it attracts a lot of attention – which most of the times you do not need or want – and also because anything as textured as this seems so difficult to style with anything. Let’s hope I can change your mind today.

To tell you the truth, I bought this skirt a while ago, because I liked the colors and thought it was cool. And there it stood in my wardrobe for months and months, without seeing the light of day – or even the moonlight at night for that matter. Until I found a solution – the all rescuing plain white top that goes with everything. So I decided it was time to give it a go and have fun with it. Which is what I am suggesting you should do too. Have a fun and wonderful weekend!
